Inclusive Comprehensive Internationalisation (ICI - 2021-1-ES01-KA220-HED-000027552) is an Erasmus + Cooperation Partnership co-funded by the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union for the years 2022-2025.  The project aims to help co-create equity of opportunity with and for all students to benefit from internationalisation, regardless of their background, orientation or capability, and to improve their international and intercultural competences. Because we need every voice to help create a peaceful and sustainable world. The ICI Conference is the final event of the project in which the achieved goals, expected and unexpected results and its partners’ conclusions will be presented. 

 

We are pleased to invite academics, PhD students, internationalisation practitioners and officers, scholars, educators, and researchers to submit abstracts for the “ICI Final Conference”, which will be held at the Universitat Rovira i Virgili, Tarragona, Spain, 11 and 12 December 2024.  

The ICI Final Conference will provide a forum for discussion on inclusion and internationalisation and its new perspectives. We are expecting proposals on the following topics/ themes: 

• International and diversity strategies of Higher Education Institutions (HEI)  
• Promotion of diversity, equity and inclusion in HEIs 
• Communication among and within HEI about diversity, inclusion and equity 
• Awareness and engagement at HEIs 
• Intersection between inclusion and Internationalisation 
• Internationalisation of the hidden curriculum
• International learning opportunities: virtual exchange, blended mobility or collaborative online international learning 
• Increased opportunities for underrepresented students 
• Boundary crossing collaboration 
• Intercultural, diverse, inclusive classroom management 
• Internationalisation of the curriculum with an inclusive approach 
• International, inclusive, diverse and intercultural learning outcomes 

 

The abstracts (300 words max., excluding bibliography) must address the key points of your presentation and include concrete takeaways for the participants. Examples, outcomes of a research or good practices are welcomed. Participants that have their abstracts selected are expected to contribute to joint panels with a 10-minute intervention plus 15 minutes of discussion (per panel session). Further details will be sent to the selected proposals. 

The deadline for proposal submissions is 5th September 2024.   

Successful applicants will be notified by 25th September 2024.
