Opening Ceremony and Registration Venue
Please note that the registration and opening ceremony of CAC 2026 will NOT take place at the Tarragona Congress Palace.
Both activities will be held at:

Registration will open at 16:00, followed by the Opening Ceremony at 17:30.
Participants attending the pre-courses, which take place earlier in the day, will complete their registration directly at the pre-course venue at the time of the course.
Venue
The 20th Chemometrics in Analytical Chemistry Conference (CAC-2026) will be held at the Tarragona Congress Palace, a modern and emblematic venue built on the site of a 19th-century quarry.

Located in the heart of Tarragona, the Congress Palace offers spacious and fully equipped facilities with state-of-the-art technology, perfectly suited for hosting international scientific events.

Travel
1) By Bus (Recommended)
The Plana bus company offers direct connections from Barcelona Airport (Terminal 1 and Terminal 2) to Tarragona, without the need to travel into Barcelona city.

This is currently the most reliable and convenient option.
2) By Train (Not Recommended)
Due to major infrastructure works on the corridor between Barcelona and Tarragona, the Rodalies services (R14, R15, R16, R17) are experiencing significant delays and extended travel times, which can reach up to almost three hours.
The AVANT (high‑speed regional) service remains an alternative, but please note:
- It departs from Barcelona Sants station.
- It arrives at Camp de Tarragona station, located outside the city.
- A bus transfer is required to reach Tarragona city centre.
For these reasons, train travel is not advised during this period unless necessary.
